I grew up in a little community called Hope, in North Idaho where everyone knows everyone and news travels fast. My time was spent outside in the mountains running the animal trails and living close to the land. Then of course I left for the adventures of the world, but I’ve yet to find a place with the same essence. The closest I’ve come is in the mountains of Greece! I have an affinity for quaint out of the way places. For I find having the courage to explore the wild places whether it be the land, our minds, hearts, or opportunities we truly live. This brings me to my story of photography… Several years ago I apprenticed with Glen Johnson a world class wedding photographer, and it changed my life. Like dreaming a dream you never imagined. What an honor to photograph couples’ most sacred moment of witnessed commitment. I’ve been so inspired by the care, thoughtfulness, and energy that go into creating such a meaningful day. I truly love it. Every wedding conjures up a life of its own and my job is to be there to capture its natural unfolding. All in the name of love, light and life. |
